A dance teacher helps their students find the song in their hearts, the beat in their feet, and a passion for life.

Serrah Brod – Owner/Artistic Director  

As an award winning choreographer, Serrah brings many years of experience from numerous studios, companies, and dance teams from around the country. Her approach to the art form of dance has inspired students from the East Coast to the West Coast. 

Serrah originates from Minneapolis, Minnesota.  In Minnesota, she trained at the University of Minnesota, DanceWorks, Zenon Dance Company, and Ballet Arts. She was a principal dancer in several companies and participated (as well as choreographed) in many ballets such as, Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella.  

Shortly after finishing school, Serrah relocated to Los Angeles, California to further her dance education. While there she received a scholarship to dance at the prestigious Academy of Performing Arts in San Diego. After performing Irish soft shoe and jazz, she was invited to dance in Scotland for a CD release for Celtic Fusion.  Serrah performed at the halftime show for Super bowls XXVI and XXVII and has been featured in several commercials, such as Adidas, Sketcher, Joe's Jeans, and Target. 

Her training has afforded her the opportunity to train with Denise Vought of Royal Ballet, Jean Isaac - the pioneer of modern dance, Chebar Williams, and Xavier Hicks. She also worked with Wade Robson, and Shane Sparks while in L.A.  Along with her studio life, Serrah judge’s dancers and chorography’s for dance teams around the Richmond area. She and her husband are the proud parents of two girls and one boy.


Misha Nikitine- Upper Level Ballet, Pointe, and Dance Company Chorographer

Misha Nikitine trained at the Perm Choreographic Academy in Perm, Russia, and also with Truman Finney at the School of the Hartford Ballet. He began his performing career at the Stanislavsky Theater in Moscow, and went on to dance as a Principal Dancer with Hartford Ballet, Fort Worth-Dallas Ballet, Miami City Ballet and Carolina Ballet. He has performed leading roles in a diverse spectrum of works, ranging from Balanchine classics such as Allegro Brillante, Jewels, Prodigal Son and Apollo, to classical full-lengths (Giselle, Coppelia, Swan Lake), to original roles in works by Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Damien Woetzel and Christopher Wheeldon. He has also choreographed several contemporary works, and in 2009 co-founded Seanik Arts, a contemporary performance ensemble.


Katie Hyde - Ballet, Tap, Jazz Combo Classes Instructor

Katie Hyde began her dance career right here in Powhatan with Miss Mindy 30 plus years ago.  Miss Katie studied under the direction of Anne Van Gelder, former Rockette, Tammy Tipton-Nay, and many others at Richmond Ballet and Richmond Dance Center as well as many master dance classes while competing.

After graduating from Powhatan High School, she received her Associates in Early Child Development, continued teaching in the Powhatan studios and started her own traveling dance business in 2007.  Currently Miss Katie has 10 preschools and childcare centers that she travels to each week teaching a pre ballet and tap class to children ages 3-5.  She also has enrichment programs in select Chesterfield County Elementary Schools.  

Katie is excited to be back in the studio this year and share her love for dance with little ones, new and "old"!


Suzanne “Neo” Lynch – Hip Hop Instructor and Dance Company Choreographer   

Neo is so excited to bring her style to Premiere Dance Studio and can’t wait to get started with all the students!  She is a former competition dancer from Alexandria, VA where she studied jazz, ballet, tap, pointe, lyrical, gymnastics, contemporary and hip hop for 15 years. She attended Virginia Commonwealth University studying Criminal Justice, then pursued a career as a professional dancer upon moving to Atlanta in 2006. There she quickly excelled as a top industry dancer and performed with Beyonce, Ciara, P. Diddy, Nelly, Bow Wow, Keri Hilson, The Dream, and Cherish, to name a few. She has graced the stages of the MTV VMA’s, BET Awards, BET HipHop Awards, MTV's Sweet 16, MTV Japan, and Good Morning America, in addition to being a principal dancer in dozens of national and international music videos. She has toured with Ciara, Mary J Blidge, Jay-Z, New Kids on the Block, Chris Brown, and the International Raggs Kids Club Tour. Neo has been featured in commercials for Dunkin Donuts, Tyler Perry and Verizon Wireless, and was recently a hip-hop Coach on MTV’s hit series “Made.” She has worked with Frank Gatson, Fatima Robinson, JaQuel Knight, Jamaica Craft, Marty Kudelka, Jamie Parrish, and Laurieann Gibson. Her creativity, warm spirit, and certification as a personal trainer has landed her opportunities to serve as specialty choreography consultant/trainer to music videos for R&B artists Ciara, Keri Hilson, Tami Chynn and Cherish.  Of all of her professional experiences, her proudest achievements have been of sharing her passion for dance with students.


Alissa Pagnotti-Roswick - Tap Instructor and Dance Company Choreographer   

Alissa earned a BFA in Musical Theatre at The Boston Conservatory and has had opportunities to work with some of the best in the industry.  She has worked and studied with Brenda Buffalino, Savion Glover, Gregory Hines, Tony Waag, Margaret Morrison, Buster Brown, Heather Cornell and many more.  Not only has she worked and studied with some of the best, she has also taught at some extremely well known and talented studios.  Along with teaching, she has been a competition choreographer and coach at Anita Ehlers Dance Extensions, Fabulous Feet, Performers Theatre Workshops, New Jersey School of Ballet, and Long Lake Camp for the Performing Arts just to mention a few.  She has performed with Manhattan Tap – Jr Company, New York Delhi Mix – Dancer – The Danny Kaye Theatre NYC, Song and Dance in the Park – Neighbors – Pags and Co., International Fesitval of Colors – Neighbors – Pags and Co., and Tap City – American Tap Dance Orchestra.  Along with performing she has Choreographer some outstanding pieces/shows such has Neighbors – an original, standalone piece of choreography, exploring the activities of neighbors in an apartment complex and the laundry room, Pippin, Ragtime in concert; staging and choreography, Godspell, Joseph, A Christmas Carol, Jesus Christ Superstar and the list goes on. Alissa and Premiere are looking to another great year of Tap at the studio.


Shannon Mills - Beginning Hip Hop and Beginning Contemporary Instructor

Both Shannon’s are previous Dancers at Premiere Dance Studio and have been dancing since the age of 3.  They competed on our Award Winning Dance Team, have been Teacher Assistants at the studio, and are excited to share their love of dance.  They both are full-time College Students, but are very dedicated to dance and Premiere.  We are excited for them to teach what they have learned over the years and look forward to watching them grow and bring their creativity to Premiere!
